2006 Annual Business
and Poster Meeting (printable

**Please plan to
attend an important MTNCSfN annual business and poster meeting
scheduled for Friday,
25 August 2006, from 4:00 – 6:00
p.m. at Vanderbilt.
The business meeting will be held in 1220
MRB
III Lecture Hall at 4 p.m. with a poster session
and reception to follow. We will have picnic snacks/drinks in
the courtyard outside MRB
III and posters in the lobby.**
We have several important activities on the agenda including
the following:
1. Zambian Retreat and Workshop information: The
MTNCSfN chapter plans to organize an international Retreat and Workshop to
be held in Lusaka, ZAMBIA (tentatively planned for 11-17
June 2007; check out http://www.zambiatourism.com).
This event will be exclusively open to MTNCSfN members and the details for
this international activity will be provided during the business and poster
meeting.
2. Poster Competition: Graduate
students are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation
at the annual poster competition. Cash prizes will be given to
the top two abstracts judged to be the best entries based on
scientific merit and presentation at the meeting.
Please submit your abstracts (use
SfN abstract format) to terri.ray@vanderbilt.edu .
The deadline for
submission is Wednesday, 23 August
2006.
NOTE: Graduate students
who submit abstracts by the given deadline that are approved
for presentation AND
follow through on presenting their posters at the upcoming
MTNCSfN poster session will receive FREE 2006-2007
MTNCSfN membership. Posters can be “recycled” from
previous meetings, although up-to- date and well-presented
posters are likely to
be judged more favorably.

Trainee- $10
It is not too late to renew your membership for those who have not already
done so. Membership runs from July-to-July, thus members become past due after
July 31 if they have not sent in their annual
renewal.
It is our goal to turn this chapter into a vibrant and purposeful
organization worthy of joining.
